Well, here I am, easily stepping into day 4. I know it seems like nothing compared to some of you Super-Fasters out there who go for months at a time cleansing your bodies. But, I am happy that I am making this 10 day commitment. I would one day like to do a 2 week fast and maybe even a 3 week fast. For now, I'll just stick to the 10 days. I think my Fiance would think I had lost my mind if I said I wanted to go for 3 weeks without food. Actually, I find it a lot easier to just not tell people I am fasting. Most people just don't get it.
Today is a real turning point for me. Or maybe I should say it just feels easy and natural to be doing this Master Cleanser. I have not had this much energy in a long time. I woke up at 7am and got to the gym before it even opened. I don't think I have ever done that! I did cardio... rode the bike for a half an hour and then did a few minutes of arm weights. Nothing too crazy. Came home and scrubbed the kitchen and bathrooms. With this fast I just feel like cleaning and organizing everything!! I usually like things to be tidy.... but I am just going all out.
I totally treated myself yesterday. I went for a 1 hour massage on my lunchbreak. And beleive me I have NEVER done that. But I just really needed it. And then when I came home I went and got a manicure and a pedicure. Felt like a princess and like I had earned it. It really does help if you can reward yourself when fasting. I also feel like organizing the house is a reward too.
Oh.... so I got the Oxy-Powder and took 4 pills before going to bed. I can't really say that it cleaned me out like I thought it would. Maybe I am just cleaned out already? I mean I don't eat a lot of meat. But it did work a little and I had no cramps or any of the usual laxative side-effects. I am going to up the dose, as it recommends, to 6 pills tonight and see if that makes a difference.
Oh, I am also happy not to be drinking this weekend. 9 out of 10 weekends my Fiance and I will have a bottle or two of wine. It's nice after a long stressful week. We both work more than the average person.... as Designers. But I almost feel like it has become a habit. So, feels good to get away from that and feel extra productive early on a Saturday morning.
Okay... I feel like I could ramble on forever. Back to cleaning! Man... what's wrong with me!! heehee.
