I’ll just add this note. I did the 42 day Breuss fast 5 years ago. At the end of the first week my heart would gurgle at night when I laid down on the bed. Day 17 of water only fast. Question; I’m having around 10 bowel movements a day since about day 10, 8 of those BMs happen in the couple hours before bed. I am on day 16 of my second 40 day water fast. I didn’t have any of the problems you had the first time and I’m not having them this time, either. I am in my 7th day of a water fast. Today I took a blood test and was told that my blood sugar is high. I’ve never been diagnosed with diabetes. My dad is in the hospital. It is rather serious, he is mostly sleeping, and when they have tried to give him food, he wouldn’t eat. He is on an iv, and for about a week, they were only giving him saline and a vitamin or two (B1, but earlier something else). They weren’t giving him vitamin C because he had a kidney issue. I’m not sure if the fact that they have brought his calcium levels down to normal levels means that the kidney issue is resolved or not. This thread is old, but I found it just now when searching Google, the advice you received from the one person is WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. When water fasting your rate of burning energy goes up 10 percent during the fast, not down, water fasting will not lower your fat burning power. I haven’t done a water fast because I am so incredibly weak and already chronically ill, but I have noticed on days when I do not eat almost anything I do much, much better with my Long Covid.
