This thread is old, but I found it just now when searching Google, the advice you received from the one person is WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. When Water Fasting your rate of burning energy goes up 10 percent during the fast, not down, Water Fasting will not lower your fat burning power. Some people don't know what the hell they are talking about. Water Fasting will not lower your metabolic rate.
OK I know there will be some smarty pants out there who will respond with something like "this person won't see the message, it's been eight years fool". Well think about my first statement, I found this when searching Google NOW. Others will too, this is for them.
