Basically, doctors in this country are taught that parasites are a third world problem and don't exist in this country. That is why they have such a lackadaisical attitude about parasite. They are taught in medical school that they are no big deal and that the "bad" parasites that cause problems are all in third world countries. Its the old rule of if they didnt learn it in medical school it doesn't exist or isnt significant or is mumbo-jumbo.
