Re: Monsters in my toilet (warning: graphic)

Thanks, Shroom. :) I'm sorry that all of us are going through these experiences.

I haven't passed any mucoid plaque yet, but I kind of wish I would.

I have passed liver flukes (flat, leaf-shaped, if that is the correct name for the type), so I guess I have what you might call a multiple worm infection. Hey, if one of them is having a party, why not invite a bunch of friends along. Immune system dysfunction, low pH and mineral deficiencies are probably all factors in this.

Where I may have picked this up: I traveled to Mexico about 10 years ago, but I never got sick there, not even in the ensuing months (not that that means much). And I went to Poland about 7 years ago and became deathly ill in Warsaw for about 24 hours with very high fever, violent vomiting and diarrhea. But I recovered and moved on with my trip. I now suspect that that illness may have been my body's way of trying to expel an imposter.

Lastly, I lived in California for many years. The Center for Disease Control recently put out a statement that the three border states of California, New Mexico and Florida have reported the largest amounts of parasite cases of all the states. **Supposedly** they plan to research that further.

I will continue to research to try to identify this thing. You're right -- we all gain on this forum by reading and learning about other people's experiences. It's a beautiful thing.
