Re: To northstar

hi,

harvest the grass two times, then dig up the roots and start over. in fact the roots can be put in the mulch pile, decayed roots are powerful fertilizer. you don't have to get all the roots out, just most of them.

the best wheatgrass juicers are omega and greenstar. i have an omega and it works fine. it can also double as a nut butter maker and does other things. the omega is fairly easy to clean.

mix the wheatgrass with anything you like. i find the best thing is fresh apple juice with some lemon squeezed in it, maybe add some carrot juice. fresh orange juice is also great, the citrus juices take the bitterness out of the wheatgrass.

if you plan on doing the mega doses - START SLOW!!!!! don't over do it. wheatgrass is a very powerful detoxer and too much will create toxin overload. start iwth a copule oz. then work your way up slowly over a period of weeks. get in tune with your body and increase dosage as you feel you body can handle it. if you overdo it, back off for a few days then start increasing again. your body is your best guide.

i honestly don't know how much a 6 x6 foot raised bed will make. it will certainly make quite a bit, but i can't give a figure. later on i will post somehting on how to accelerate the growth a bit.

hope that helps.
