hi,

i would advise that you plant both wheatgrass and barley grass. some say barley grass is a bit more nutritious. but barley is also easier on some people's stomachs and overall easier to take. wheatgrass is a bit much for some people. although barley grass is more bitter tasting, it is gentler on the stomach.

http://www.sproutpeople.com is a great site to buy wheatgrass and barley grass seeds as well as any other sprouting nut bean or seed.

if you plant it outside let the grass grow to about 8 - 10 inchess before harvesting. according to Dr. Hagiware this is when the grass is at optimum nutrient state.

you can also just buy the wheatgrass seeds in bulk from the health food store. it is usually calleed "winter wheat berries" in the bulk bin. or sometime "red winter wheat" or just wheatgrass seeds.

to get best tasting and most nutritious wheatgrass use three things in the soil

1. worm castings (ie worm shit)
2. azomite (crushed rock, a mineral source)
3. seaweed based fertilizer

also add rotting food to the soil and some earthworms. if you do this the soil will be really healthy and the grass will taste better. okay that all for now, let me know if you have any other quesitons i like talking about wheatgrass.
