Stabilizing the world oil supply was one reason but it wasn't at the top of the list. Saddam obviously supported and allowed the training of terrorists. After 911 it became clear he had to go, along with many others. If not, he would have surely caused endless trouble down the road. Instead, he is where we all need him. Dead.
