Re: Iodine helps
I've never heard of taking
Iodine for kidneys. The best cure is you need to drink 2 litres of water every day with some fresh lemon squeezed in it. Don't guzzle the water only sip it throughout the day. This is a life long habit you must develop in order to avoid any future attacks. The lemon puts the ph balance into your body to prevent Uric Acid build up. People with
kidney stones don't drink enough water.
If you have
kidney stones you may also suffer from Gout so lower your protein intake as well as foods that produce a lot of uric acid in your body. You can look that up on Google.
Do not drink ice tea it's very acidic and builds more kidney stones. Water or an herbal tea that cleanses the kidneys is your safest beverage. For each attack you have, you have a greater chance of having another one within 6 months.
Also ask your doctor for Buscopan so you can carry it with you. It is a muscle relaxant. If you feel an attack coming on, quickly take 1 Buscopan and it will relieve the symptons within about 20 min and "it softens the blow" of the pain you feel when that stone is moving.
Remember that lemon water is the only cure for kidney stones.
