Re: your "EGO" is out to conquer... "you"/SELF... lol... ;-)

SELF (who you are) is very often confused with [excessive] ego/ambition. The most common personal problem on this earth (if not the ONLY one) is the identity crisis. When a person allows their ego to rule their lives and they become selfish ENOUGH to disrespect other people's rights of happiness, that is UNJUST and is EXCESSIVE "self"/ego (reckless ambition). Ego is a fundamental part of being human (the product of SELF respect). Males often take pride in their musculature and females often take pride in a slim figure. Whether a person is a professional or not, no one would truly be motivated to accomplish anything for the betterment of society without the personal reward of being able to give recognition to SELF for their own accomplishments (that is completely JUST), but sometimes people's ambition is NOT the betterment of "society", instead it is the betterment of THEMSELVES with complete disregard of others (that is UNJUST and "BAD"/evil/wrong).

We must always differentiate between what is GOOD and what is "BAD". So "self" is good (by itself), but we must not let it be CONQUERED by an ambition to better ourselves disregarding the human rights of others to live happy lives.

We were raised with the attitude that ALL "self" is bad regardless of behavior, and that ALL "ego" is bad regardless of our behavior, but a person cannot truly be an individual without either. We cannot GIVE anything to society or anyone else without [being a] SELF and will find it senseless to make a habit of "giving" without "ego".

All throughout the generations of humanity, we have been encouraged to discard and belittle "self" by those who have no interest in us retaining "self" (self-realization/recognition), but even God warns us against letting this happen,...Colossians 2:18, many will lead us astray by "...insisting on self-abasement..." and, unfortunately (and miraculously) no one has ever (thousands of years) ever noticed or dared question this common practice.

Don't be conquered. SELF, ONLY "self", can be alone, and SELF can "mingle", but EXCESSIVE ego will make you loneLY).
