Re: water with meals myth?
That is good information and a good book, water is amazing and Dr. Batmangelij certainly showed us how very important it is to our health... but I'm not sure it addresses the question of the water with meals "myth". Water is definitely important and we definitely need to drink a sufficient amount, but should that drinking be done between meals?
I understood the question to be, "Is it bad to drink water with meals?" because I have certainly heard a good bit of discussion on that topic.
For example, some people guzzle 3-5 cups of water at each meal, but don't particularly drink much inbetween meals, and consider this to be the way to get their "8 cups a day" or more, whereas others say this doesn't really count, and it may even be a negative thing to do, as it dilutes stomach acids, enzymes, etc. that are working on digesting the food. Some people say you shouldn't drink at ALL during meals, or for a period of time before and after. Also, I have heard that one shouldn't drink cold drinks with meals.
I wonder what the truth is, as well as what a reasonable balance is, regarding water and drinks at meals (versus inbetween meals).
