Short answer--chemicals. Sulfer, nitrates , butric acid, etc. Many are compounds from the digestive process and action of bacteria. Since parasites produce many chemicals which have chain reactions, this causes an imbalance of chemical reactions and bacteria. Hence stronger smell.
The body also produces some very strong chemicals from immune-cells. This is why puss can have odour. Shroom
