"Shorter" long fasts are good, but you still need to rebuild

10-14 days is considered a "lengthy" fast, but you DO want to replenish your body in a healthy manner afterwards. You DON'T want to do a lengthy fast too soon after finishing one.

You want to keep your mind in a disciplined mode, especially when you end your fast, because the desire to OVEReat is especially strong, and quite powerful.

Might I suggest you obtaining (either by purchase or library) Paul Bragg's book "The Miracle of Fasting"?

He has a wonderfully outlined way to fast:
one day once every week
three days once every month
7-10 days once every three months (with the change of season)

As you can see, that would total quite a few fasting days every year, spread out in a consistent manner. He also has a nice brief but well-explained style to his writings.

He lived into his 90's, and actually passed away while body-surfing in the Pacific - not all crippled up in some nursing home!

Good luck and blessings to you!
