Let me tell you a little bit of my personal experience. I had a tonsillectomy at around 14, and due to the pain down the throat, I had no choice but to starve for a week. The next week I went back to school from break, and when I came home from school, I got a phone call from my classmate’s mom, asking me how the hell I could possibly got rid of all the zits in one week like that. Apparently, the kid was impressed so much about my dramatically improved complexion but he didn’t have guts to ask me directly.

Whether you go with the doctor’s version or go with alternative version is up to you, though…
