Re: how to correct a hormonal imbalance?

It is possible to check your hormones, tho most regular doctors will tell you they can't/won't/"it's useless". However, anti-aging doctors do check them easily and - if there is an imbalance - they prescribe bioidentical hormones, as opposed to the synthetic versions most people take (and the type that caused an alarmingly high incidence in cancer studies).
My opinion is I would never again take the synthetic hormones; the danger is too high and it's riskier the longer you take them.
My theory is that candida (yeast) is extremely prevalent in our society today given our diet and Acne is one of the symptoms. I've been recommending horopito oil (an anti-candida plant extract) from kolorex.com as I stumbled over it and received a side benefit of clearer skin for the first time in my adult life. If you try it, please let me know if it works for you - I want to know if my theory is correct. Good luck.
