URGENT I need some help from some knowledgeable Curezoners...

Hello all!

I was in an accident earlier today - a really stupid accident too. I was making something in my blender and while putting the stuff in the blender turned on, sucked my hand in and sliced it quite badly. I don't really know how it all came about, it happened in a second.

Long story short, I managed to pull my hand out and blood was everywhere, called 911 because no one was home, and I was taken to the hospital. My middle finger got the brunt of it, it's broken and the nail was sliced to bits and had to be removed. I needed stitches and it's still bleeding, 5.5 hours later. On a scale of 1 to 10, the pain is an 8. I'll have to wear a little cast after the stitches are removed in a week. It looks pretty disgusting, I haven't seen my hand without the nail yet and I don't intend to. I'll keep it covered with a band aid once the finger has healed and the bandages/cast are gone. I'm thankful though, another second or two and I could have lost my finger. The doctor and paramedics told me I was lucky.

The doctors were great, I know some people are really against doctors here, but this was a serious injury and I'm glad for their help. What I'm worried about, however, is they want me to be on Antibiotics for 10 days to prevent infection and painkillers (tylenol 3). Is there anything else I can do for pain relief? I'm worried about infection (the cuts are deep and I don't have a nail anymore) so I'll likely take the Antibiotics and then do probiotics right afterwards to re-establish my digestive flora. I'll also get some silica, which will hopefully help the nail grow back stronger.

Any suggestions you can give would be great. I've never dealt with this kind of injury before so I'm at a loss.
