Re: What kind if magnesium supplement....
Yes, Magnesium Citrate is the best type absorbed. Same with Calcium. Stay away from the Calcium Carbonate and get your calcium from plant sources (like Kale, Broccoli, etc) Otherwise, Calcium Citrate is the best absorbable calcium.
The Carbonate versions are the least absorbable, and I read recently that Calcium Carbonate even deadens the colon nerve endings.
I really love the magnesium supplement called "Peter Gillham's Natural Vitality, "Natural Calm" . Its in powder form, and I add it to my fruit juices at suppertime. It says to add in hot tea or warm water, but I found it dissolves in ordinary temp water or juice too.
contains no
preservatives , yeast, dairy, egg, gluten, soy, wheat, sugar, starch, or artificial color or flavor. Three teaspoons are 615 mg of Magnesium Citrate. It is also PH balanced.
Magnesium is probably more important to supplement than Calcium because it is vital in calcium absorption along with natural Vitamin D. Most of us do not get enough magnesium -- except for vegetarians.
