Re: Day 8 and Nauseous...HELP!
Howdy Stranger, (Sorry, I couldn't resist)
The following is from the book "Fasting and Eating for Health" by Dr. Joel Fuhrman.
"About 1 out of 20 fasters develope episodes of cwhile on the fast. These episodes usually occur only once or twice. They are more likely to develop in those who are not drinking enough water and are mildly dehydrated. All fasters must drink at least a
quart of water daily whether they feel like it or not.
If the vomiting is continuous and severe, the fast should be broken. This too is exceedingly rare." pgs 222/223...(This happened to me. I started vomiting from both ends and could not get it to stop. This happened 3 days into my first
Water Fast about 13 years ago. I really felt I was drinking enough water!)
"Dehydration does not generally occur in the overweight patient. Rather, it is seen more frequently in the thin patient. If considerable dehydration ensues, the patient should be fed. Because dehydration due to fasting is secondary to electrolyte depletion,it is possible that increasing the amount of water given the faster will not be sufficient to correct the abnormality. Therefore, if serious dehydration results, the fast should be broken with an appropriate food such as fresh orange juice, vegetable juice, or watermelon." pgs 207/208
I hope this helps you. Since you are just nauseated and not vomiting, you may want to try increasing your water intake to see if it helps before quitting the fast.
Good Luck and May God Bless You...*Naturalist
