Broke 21 day fast this evening
The fast went very smoothly. I set it up a week ahead of time with self hypnosis. Doing this makes it easy to fast without struggling everyday to make it another day.
I fortified this reprogramming of my subconcious by doing the SH every day at least once, with visulizations, and suggestions for what I wanted to happen.
I have mentioned this before, but I still read posts where people wanted to go longer, but didn't make it.
Trying to fast with will power will not work because you are using the conscious mind that has the everyday chatter and interuptions to contend with. The subconcious mind is where all habits, and behaviors are programmed (whether good, or bad)from past experience, or instruction. You can change any habit by reprogramming the SM.
The body and mind are one. take advantage of this fact, and use it to your advantage when you want to change a habit, or behavior. The secret is is repetition.
Today felt like the day to end my fast, if not I could have continued longer. Don't push to make forty days, quit when your body says it's time.
