Re: dehydration and drought and inactivity

hydration is a funny thing. i thought i was fully hydrated until i did that week of SWF's. then i could see where some tissues and areas were not getting enough water. dr B called this drought in the body. there is very little sign of this, usually, except for the histimine reactions of pain and swelling when it gets bad enough or remains chronic long enough to produce a cough or itch.

dehydration and drought are just descriptors for lack of circulation due to low water levels. the water level that counts is the flow in and out of cells. Iodine is a great dam buster when it comes to circulation. if anything, it would facilitate increased flow and therefor hydration, not interfere with it.

in addition to oil pulling, i would try hydrotherapy of some kind to end this drought. either a detoxifying and hydrating bath such as the good ole Epsom Salt and baking soda soak or the lymph moving power of the cool sitz bath. both can help tremendously.

another idea is you have not mentioned your activity level. a simple walk or rebounding or some other type of exercice or activity that flexes your muscles may benefit as well. stretching exercises such as yoga can really make a difference. we tend to not move enough in our culture. the real suburban blight is not the rows and rows of houses but the line of cars going back and forth to the store. no one ever walks anywhere any more and when stationary, people sit instead of stand. this is an invitation to poor health.
