This will get better with the passage of time, but in the mean time, you might consider using one of the antivirals suppressively for a while. If you don't have good insurance, generic acyclovir is MUCH less expensive than valtrex or famvir. I think that 400 mg twice a day is the suppressive dose for it. It becomes even less expensive if you get a script for 800 mg tabs and break them in half.

My first wife had lots of OBs at first and had good luck with Acyclovir suppression. Two years later she was entirely off it and had no more OBs.

I have to wonder if there's anything else going on, too. You might want to run your scenario by the folks, who include nurses, in the support forum at

they seem to know about coochie problems as they call them.
