About the threats

I wanted to let you know that, if you let the FEAR of his threats determine your courses of action, you will most certainly lose your children. I lost mine due to my ignorance of the Law and foolish belief that he would be reasonable. My ex used to make similar threats in front of OUR children, as well, including threats of suicide and murder/suicide. He would dare me (literally) to file a report of spousal rape while he was sexually assaulting me. His quote (and, I will remember this for the rest of my days) was, "There's NO SUCH THING as spousal rape!" I was so cowed, terrified, and depressed that I chose to believe him.

A threat is just that: a threat. Threats are designed and perpetrated in order to CONTROL. The name-calling and statements of hatred are his method of verbally battering you into fear and submission. You are NOT an idiot, you are NOT stupid, and you DO have the power to take your Life back away from him.
