Re: Vitamin C: A Highly Effective Treatment for Colds
where the hell to begin????
first, colds are not the disease, they are the cure. the disease is excess stagnant mucus. that is why colds happen around holidays - thanksgiving is the cold and flu season followed by christmas and it peaks after all the candy in the spring at easter. the summer cold is the product of picnics and barbeques at memorial day, 4th of july and labor day. people are generally less likely to have a big appetite in the summer thus the frequencies of colds then is less.
i never get a cold. i keep on a fairly mucusless diet. lately, i have been inducing a runny nose with sufficient
Iodine to do so. this ensures me that all of the pathways in my body are open to flow the mucus down and out so that it does not stagnate and create an environment for cold viruses to proliferate.
it should be noted that when fever does occur, it should be promoted instead of suppressed with poisons such as aspirin, tylenol or ibuprophen. i cant remember the last time i had a fever, either.
way too optimistic
then there is this statement:
"The effectiveness of vitamin C against colds could well provide a justification for the Food and Nutrition Board raise the RDA of vitamin C."
somebody trusts the government a lot more than i do.
immediately obvious is the fact that our governing bureaucrats are more likely to restrict something that works rather than recommend it freely and cheaply. they dont like anything that prevents or cures without a patent and a three letter designator on the stock exchange. how the heck are they gonna retire in luxury without that?
too little too late
of course, if one is going to do vit C, go for it and pussyfoot around. especially if one is not taking
Iodine in any amount other than a little kelp or something, vit C should be taken by the gram to be effective. notice they say it is dose responsive and they say the numbers are 7-15% loss in duration of a cold.
come on. ten grams a day of vit C is nothing. it cannot do any harm and it will be effective in preventing colds and in neutralizing a vast array of toxins in the body. vit C has been given to mice that would be like us eating
ounces and
ounces of it or shooting a syringe full directly in our veins. it is that safe. and it is so effective, i keep a big jar out in the woods in case someone gets bit by a copperhead. no problemo.
