Re: Hormonally-induced hair loss, Hyper/hypo thyroid...

Thank you so much Womby, this is the most helpful thing that I have read since my hair started to fall out several months ago. And whilst it wasn't actually my hairdresser who diagnosed me, it was the hair loss that finally prompted me to the doctors and have some blood test. Even though I had many hypothyroid symptoms, I was will to "put up" with them and try to work out the problem for myself, until the hair loss started to become noticeable. Now thanks to a very short, yet stylish haircut and some very clever styling, I don't think it is obvious to the general public.

And hopefully now that I am under the care of a wonderful ND and have already started on hormone therapies, things will pick up. I am hoping that in a few months time I might even be able to grow my hair back again.
