parasites possibly aggravate arthritis; also, importance of VitC in domestic animals
do you have pet insurance? I wonder if they cover knee surgery.
hmmm, arthritis.... I just got my mom's dog (the dog has cushing's disease) some hemp seed oil. I think that's supposed to help with joint pain. I also would suggest coconut oil (my dog loves it in her water, she's automatically at attention when I bring the jar out.)
some suggest that some forms of
Arthritis is because of parasites. the humaworm forum would be a good place, and the guy R.G. who sells humaworm is really great about answering questions. plus it's not very expensive (especially for a dog.)
now-- if the
Arthritis was because of, or aggravated by, parasites, then coconut oil is also great and also encourages a lot of water drinking-- so the system is better flushed.
I ALSO read something in the vitamin C forum (and that's a fascinating forum, let me tell you-- only about eleven pages long so it's easy to browse through all of it and find what you need) that while dogs produce their own vitamin C, they don't do so to nearly the lengths of wild animals-- so in times of sickness, they're at an extreme disadvantage. I personally take sodium ascorbate because it's not acidic...though salt is an issue, but only if you're taking very large doses.
