Rainbowgirl, my "sure-fire" remedy for cramps prior to menopause was just getting sufficient calcium/magnesium (I learned that years ago from Adelle Davis) and vit. E., as long as I took them regularly zero cramps and I could get them REAL bad. Also, at another time when I was taking borage oil, a great source of GLA, I didn't even have the slightest PMS symptom, (something that plagued me after having kids) to remind me I was getting a period so the bleedingn actually caught me totally by surprise for the first time in many years, totally s-w-e-e-t!
