Total portion of body made up of "foreign" organisms?

Hello All,

Does anyone know of a source to determine/estimate how much of the human body is made up of "foreign" organisms? You know, parasites, gut organisms, etc? I'm working on a Buddhist talk about "self" and I think this fact will be instructive. Thanks!
