--answer--people stop smoking and gain weight

Hi lilly1,

Your question: I've see people stop smoking and gain weight. That doesn't make sense to me. Doesn't the smoking make them acidic which would put more weight on and when they stop, then it would come off? I don't smoke myself!!

Answer: Smoking Causes the person to get more Potassium into their body from the smoke !

Too much Potassium in ratio to the amount of Sodium may Cause the Cell structure to lose it's moisture to the Exterior of the Cell structure, thus allowing for the body Tissue to lose these Fluids from the body !

Then when a person stops smoking, the Potassium to Sodium ratios change and the person may retain more fluids, because the ratio of Sodium to potassium may increase, thus Causing the body to Retain more Fluids ?

As usual not everything may be as it may first seem to be !

Smile Tis your choice.
