I would assume that sooner or later it will remove all metals the issue here is kidney function and liver function, perhaps even heart, while lead in blood irritates all that.

The Iodine will disallow the lead to re-enter the tissue so even if you research what happens to children with lead exposure it won't be the same but there is plenty of docs out there that show what happens to people with so called light lead problems and it isn't pretty...
