Liver hemangioma survey. Conducting my own research for a solution.
Like many of you here, I suffer too from a growing liver hemangioma. I have been trying to find ways in how to reduce a liver hemangioma for some time now or even to stop it in it's tracks. I do know from research that it can be influenced by shifting hormone levels amongst other things.
So if you could please answer the following I would really appreciate it. We have to be our own doctors sometimes.
1) Do you take hot baths? Showers?
2) Do you drink milk? If so, what kind. (2%, 1% or skimmed)
3) When you have the pain, do you place a hot pad or compress on the area?
4) Have you been (or still taking) Oral Contraceptives? If so, for how long?
5) Do you have any problems that you know of with your hormone levels?
6) Do you smoke?
7) Do you eat dairy products?
8) Do you put lotion on your face?
9) Do you wear make-up?
10) Do you wear liquid foundation on your face?
11) What kind of toothpaste do you use? (Colgate, AquaFresh, Crest, Tom's of Maine etc.)
12) Are you male or female?
13) How old are you?
14) At what age were you diagnosed in having one? How large was it at the initial diagnosis?
15) How many children have you gave birth to?
16) Have you been on any type of Hormone Therapy medication?
17) Do you drink lots of water?
18) Would you say your diet was healthy or poor?
19) Do you eat Soy products or drink Soy Milk?
20) Do you eat Brocolli and/or Cauliflower?
21) Do you use Flaxseed in your foods?
22) Do you buy organic produce?
23) Do you exercise?
24) Have you taken any herbs such as Milk Thistle, Licorice, Don Quei, Evening Primrose or Ginseng?
25) If you have pain associated with the hemangioma is there anything that you find makes it worse? (stress, menses, exercise etc.)
Thank you for all of your cooperation. Just to let you know who I am. I am a 39 year old, married woman of two boys. My youngest is 2 years old and my oldest is 20 years old (yes, a big age gap!) I have a liver hemangioma measuring 4.5
cm and has been growing .5
cm each year. I teach part-time at our local college and am also an artist. I would like to get to the bottom of this and I am presently not able to get the medical answers or solutions from my own doctor. I am doing my own research in the hopes we can all help each other find a solution to this condition.
