Not getting any muscles...Why?
I've been a vegetarian for a couple of years now. I eat dairy and only eat eggs that are used as ingredients in food. My body has become soft. I have dealt with digestive health problems and
food intolerances and I have gotten mostly better. I cut out meat because it caused me to smell bad and I've kept the dairy I eat down to prevent the odor from coming back as well.
I think the fact that I am not getting protein is keeping me from getting my previous muscular body back. I used to be able to get very nice muscles in 2-3 weeks of working out. Now I hardly get anything after 2 months of working out. So I studied up on working out and it says to do 6 reps each until you feel a good burn and then stop, so I did that and still I don't get muscle. I do sit ups and still I'm getting this round pot of flubber around my waist that continues to get bigger after working out for a couple of months and I'm not even 100 pounds. I'm just turning to mush.
What do you think I should do? I don't miss meat and I don't really care to go back to eating it, but I will if I have to. I also don't like the fact that animals have to die in order for me to eat. So I am kind of torn and do not know what to do.
I'd appreciate your advice.
