Adding to what Trapper said, most of us have some kind of neck injury. My chiropractor claims most illnesses, aches and pains and other health problems stem from the neck. I know when he finally fixed my neck the first time, not only was I walking better, but what was diagnosed as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome was cleared up; and what I was told was GERD-reflux disease that would require prescription medication the rest of my life went away.

Anyway, since toxins seem to like to settle in weakened areas of the body and lodge there, I believe the majority of us are susceptible to neck pain when detoxing. Lower back and knee pain is also frequently mentioned by fasters, flushers and other cleansers.

To relieve clogged lymph nodes in the neck, gently massage in downward strokes from behind the ears, down the sides of the neck and across the top of the shoulders. Gently go in a tight rolling motion between the breasts, under them to the area under the arms. Then you can do traditional dry skin brushing to move the lymph to the bowel area.

Finally, do neck stretches to lengthen and strengthen the neck and relieve pressure on the vertebra. Head rolls work well, and try the butterfly stretch (my chiropractor tells me to make it like a prayer-do without ceasing) lace the fingers together under the chin, raise elbows upward and press against the chin stretching the neck as much as you can without causing pain. (Doc. says "No pain-good!")

I hope these simple steps along with the oil pulling will give us all some relief as we continue to detox years of built up waste and toxic matter.
