From experience, it is rare that doctors can actually be trusted when they say "wait and see". They want you to need a $10,000.00 operation. It is no skin off their back for you to need that operation, in fact, that is their livelihood. Subconsciously (at best), they rather you need an operation.

Why you find little on the internet is beyond me, you're probably being told to look in a very limited category. The causes are gastrointestinal infection and have infected 2 year old patients. Silicea has been found effective, but there are supposed to be different causes and different treatments. Remember, your doctor wants you to do nothing.
