--Terminology Clarifications--

Hi Ya'll,

It has come to my attention that some words which different people may use, may have different meanings to different people, depending on what they think about it !

So, for some clarification , I am going to try to clarify what some words are to mean when I may talk about them !


Colloid-- there are two kinds of colloids: one which is a measurement of size and one is an organic compound which each molecule constitutes a complete solar system within itself !

Chemical colloids are so small that one cubic inch of them will cover 7 1/2 acres and have a solid sheet ! They are so small even gravity has no effect upon them and will stand in suspension in the air until they collect enough moisture to weigh them down ! Elements or compounds in it's purest forms, "Colloidal" form are "NON-POISONOUS" or "NON-TOXIC" ! The reason is, that they cannot be separated or divided ! They come in whole and the chemical colloids are always compounds, i.e., you can have colloidal gold or colloidal silver, iron, but that is a measurement of size as far as that goes ! But a chemical colloid that is not limited to a measurement of size, is always a compound ! But if you say colloidal gold you are talking about a measurement of size !

Anion-- smallest amount of energy measurable !

Cation--second smallest amount of energy measurable, in a different form !

Ion--can be either an Anion or Cation, but it is always the core in any molecule or atom !

Electron--is always the outer shell of any atom or electron(molecule) ! Edited: the wording should be such that the electron is always on the outside, and never in the core !


Electrolyte--is always a conductor of electricity--any metal or substance !

Organic--Anything which contains carbon !

Inorganic-- Anything that does not contain Carbon !

catalyst-- Any substance that would join two or more elements or compounds together without itself becoming a part of the union, i,e.-a wrench joins a nut and bolt, but it doesn't become a part of the union ! A preacher marries a man and woman--he is just the catalyst--he doesn't become a part of the union ! (Thank God)
We need catalyst in working with soil and Plants and Health, to join things together !

pH--the low p--stands for activity--a mathematical symbol ! The H stands for activity as compared to the hydrogen ions ! The reason we use pH in soil or Health measurements is because it is a simple ion ! One Anion and one Cation ! A simple measurement of Resistance ! pH is never a measure of volumne, but always a measurement of resistance !

Isotope-- Is any substance in which the nucleus of the electron, this is the ion and electron forces, change places ! Not the ion, but the forces change places in other words ! You may have a molecule with a cation nucleus or a molecule with an anion nucleus ! Only those substances in which the ion substance can change places with the electron substances are isotopes !

If you have a molecule of Calcium, you'll have the Cation as the ion and the Anion will be the electron ! This is also true for Chlorine or Potassium ! These are the three Alkalies in all the Plant realm! Calcium, Potash, and Chlorine ! ( Fluoride is a Cation !)

Nitrogen is one of the elements which is an Isotope !

Protein is made of Nitrogen, thus it is an Isotope ,also , of which Ammonia and Nitrate are the two Opposite isotopes of Nitrogen !!
