I have had floaters for at least 20 years. Lately they have gotten worse. On some days I can see a lot of them when I look at the sky. Dots, threads, split threads, etc...
My guess is that floaters are candida yeast infection.
I have heard of a procedure where the doctor punctures the eyeball with a syringe to drain the inner fluid of the eye (along with the floaters) and then injects a water/saline solution to replace the lost fluid. I don't think I would risk having this procedure done - sounds risky.
