Re: julia changs recipe
I have completed 4 liver flushes. The first two I used Dr. Clark's recipe and the last two I have used Julia Chang's. I had much more success with the quantity of stones flushed using Julia's protocol. Plus I also flushed out a good number of very large stones. My 4th flush did not produce much at all. Only one large stone and about 20 or so pea size stones.
I also used Julia's GCG, Chinese Bitters, Coptis and Curcuma faithfully until after my 3rd flush. Then I took a break. I don't know if my third flush was so successful because I used Julia's recipe or if her herbs and the two prior flushes helped to prepare my liver/gallbladder for that large expulsion of stones on my third flush. I took a break from those herbs and was not taking them up to my fourth flush. Perhaps that is why my results were minimal. I am not sure.
What I really like about her recipe is that I was able to eat sensibly throughout the day to include dinner. I am hypoglycemic and have real problems if a skip a meal, which came back to haunt me during my 2nd flush. She also does not recommend
Epsom Salts . BUT, she recommends you prep yourself by using the GCG, Bitters, Coptis and Curcuma in its place. She uses a bit more olive oil and juice, but you split it in fours and take each dose in fifteen minute increments. Then you drink one liter of water with two teaspoons of
Sea Salt first thing in the morning. I like this as well as you are not tied to the toilet for a good part of the day (as least I am not).
I personally would not recommend doing Julia's flush without using her prep herbs. She has specific instructions for using Coptis and Curcuma if a stone should get stuck. My wife tried her flush once and she does not use these herbs. She took one cup of the magnesium citrate at 8:00 p.m. and that seemed to work fine for her. She then followed the rest of Julia's instructions and expelled a ton of small and large stones.
Good luck finding the recipe that works for you. I have tried three different versions and have customized parts of each as that is what seems to work for me.
Good luck. Julia's website www.sensiblehealth.com. has a ton of very helpful information. She is also available to speak with you via phone and has been very helpful to me in that instance as well.
