I have an inversion table and it does help. Do not start by hanging upside down. You can adjust the table to go to only a 30-45 degree angle at first. It is so important to start slowly to avoid undue stress and possible injury. If you do have blood pressure issues (I do), then you should closely monitor your blood pressure before and after inversions. It has never caused me any problems, but when my BP is a little high, I skip the table. It may take months before you can do the full tilt, but even slight angles of inversion can help take pressure off your lower back. Since I cannot do rebounding at this time, I use the rocking feature of the table to help keep up circulation. My typical method is one-two minutes of inversion followed by two minutes of rocking and repeating this two or three times. It does not sound like much, but it is the best I can do right now. Slower and gentle is always safer than fast and furious. Too much too soon can cause more injury if you are not careful.
By the way, I ordered my table from http://www.walmart.com
I am very happy with the quality, the price and the service.
