Re: Dentist Nightmare
Sue.
Those f*uckers. I have not been to the dentist in 6 years and my teeth are doing great. My gums are less receded, mouth is looking better, etc. As Molly said, it is a total f'ing RACKET and they'll tell you something's wrong in a skinny minute to get some cash out of your insurance company. And the thing is, it is DREADFULLY dangerous, also as M. said.
My belief is that a lot of liver/GB stones surround material from the mouth which has caused infection and entered the blood. The lymph drains into the GB/liver. I had terrible non-oral infactions twice after 6-mo. cleanings w/ HUGE swollen lymphs and I am sure my lymphs were overloaded and backed up.
What happens to me, in a nutshell over time -- I grew up in
Iodine depletion. I was ALWAYS in the pool growing up, which is so chlorinated it will cause Cl absorption for anyone. That's when I started to get ENT stuff - chronic inner ear infections, chronic strep. So a cycle of infections set up in my system that no
Antibiotic could fully reach. All of a sudden later in life all of the
Chronic-Fatigue-Syndrome stuff, etc. That stuff does not come out of thin air!
I think we ought to toss around ideas about switching this forum's name to more fully reflect this service we provide, which is Mouth Health. I know there is a tooth forum, but it is awesome to have been part of the Judd/Nara revelations here, and it might "pull" in some others that might not otherwise notice us with just oil pulling in the title.
Any ideas on that!
Break up with your dentist! There is nothing he or she can do that you can't do all by yourself, and there is a lot of harm that Molly outlined that can be done, to book. It's different from doctors. We have to trust a dentist because they have tools, equipment and (we think) knowledge that we don't -- unlike a doctor where you can tell if your arm is broken, for instance, so that ain't gonna be news to you by the time you get there! I don't trust them -- know there are good ones out there, but I also know what a business/bottom line motivation is, and that 6-month thing -- well, I'd rather bank that money twice a year for my kids than pay for someone else's kids' ponies and ski trips (my dentists' kids growing up always had A-rated ponies and trips to Utah, etc. so I know that this means!)
Sorry to rant, but I am so pissed off for S2, and also kinda migraining, so a bad and cussin' combo ....
Hope you all are well! Miss you -- hard these days to be in front of the screen b/c of light/migraine but I will return! Hope everyone is having an awesome summer and that it's cool where you are...it's a complete swamp here in Richmond....
xoxo laura
