Re: Friend Addicted to Vicodin

i have been taking vicodin for four years. It started with my back it was to the point i couldn't walk! Went to an er and they gave me 7.5 vics. From that time on it seemed to help[ with other pain as well. It is going to be very difficult for your friend to get off the vics I have graduated to over 12 per day and believe me the only time i can cut back is when i don't have many! I also take lorazepam and that can help with some of the symptome. I have explained to my doctor that the vicodin is controlling my life. I asked him to do a liver test on me. That was 4 monts ago and continues to prescribe the vics. Although there is another pain pill called ultram and it works similarly to vicodin. Your friend should take this in between and it will help with the withdrawal symptoms. Hope this info helps.
