Be sure to check the chart at the back of the book the UV Advantage
by Michael Holick, M.D. It gives the time it's safe to go out
there and sunbathe, the length of time, by skin type, season and
latitude. Very useful chart. Easy rule of thumb is go out between
around 8:30 or 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. You only need 1/2 hr. or so
(but it feels soooooo nice to be out there longer!) It's been real
cold and foggy here on the coast lately (CA) so haven't been
able to do it. (It's all your fault, Wommie--the interior is
way too hot lately and is sucking all the marine air in off
the coast making it no warmer than 58 degrees today! :-(
