Re: My Mirena IUD came OUT?!?!?!

1. We have had it with perscription birth control. My body does not do well with added hormones in any sort of birth control, and I dont want the copper IUD. What can we do on our own?

and track my fertility. So far its been accurate for us. But it took 3 months post Mirena before my cycles were "normal". We use condoms not only through 5 days fertility time but also for the 3 days prior and after (just to be safe).

2.What are the chances of me being pregnant now? According to the nurses line I called last night, she said it sounded like the IUD had been out of place for a while, but couldnt give me any idea of if I could be pregnant from that or if the chemicals were still in my body.

I hate to say but it could be a high chance. The only way to know is to get a test. I could be wrong but the hormone itself will not prevent pregnancy. Women get pregnant on the IUD if it moves out of place.

3. I have had no spotting or bleeding, but I also havent had my monthly since early May. IF Im not pregnant, how long can I expect until my body returns to normal?

It took me 3 months to return to normal but I had my IUD for 1 yr. Everyone is different.

4. How many other women have had this?!?
Mine stayed in until I had it removed. Sorry this happened to you.
