Re: What is wrong with me?

HI, thanks a lot for responding to my post. I'm the same person as the one above! I didn't realise someone had answered my post and just checked, so sorry about the delay.

Thank you for sharing this with me, because it does help to hear that others out there are suffering with the same thing or at least similar. What you get is awful, having to go through all that and it is really hard when you're perfectly female and you have this "thing" going on that makes you feel like you're somehow not "right". I cannot believe you have to go through this awful routine of daily plucking!!! I have to as well, but not quite as frequently. Then again, I dont go to work so I'm not as particular about it as perhaps I would be!

I just feel that when one thing goes wrong, just a slight tilt of a balance then it's amazing what can happen inside the human body. I have decided the only way I can remotely deal with this issue, as painful as it is, is to use an epilady hair remover. This pretty much yanks it out by the roots. Many in one go. For me this is painful because I have very coarse dark hair. I cannot afford electrolysis, so this is as close as I get to that or waxing.

It is hard to believe I am now having to use it on the sides of my face, but this has just been happening this year. I dont know why and I began to notice it oneday. I had my hair up and I thought "what on earth?", I just noticed that the sides of my face looked hairy and I felt pretty mortified. I started to pluck them out and gradually got tired of going through this and having to painstakingly yank each one out one by one, so I started to use the epilady and it's much easier. It does prickle and sting, but saves time from plucking individual hairs and is very quick. I just have to make sure that I keep my head hair well out of the way while I'm using it. I also use it now on the area above my lip. I am now using it gradually on my legs and arms too, but the pain for me is so bad I have to work my way into it and each time I use it, I get a bit further with it and hoping the hair will grow back a bit weaker.

I even have to use it on my toes/feet as well, but I dare not shave anymore because frankly all I get is growth coming back the next day almost and it grows prickly and thick. So I'm trying hard to get the growth to weaken through a more painful method.

I really do feel for what you are going through. I remember hearing that Marilyn Monroe suffered with this condition also, so that was a surprise!! No doubt they cleared that up for her by proper waxing or whatever they used back then.

But yes, like yourself the hair tends to grow in places you just dont wanna mention! Trust me I know. I cannot understand why it grows so thick and fast. I am sure this would be the envy of a young guy waiting for the first signs of facial hair to happen, hoping for a moustach. I feel like saying "hey, i have one, do you want it?"
