What is wrong with me?

Hi, this is the first time I have been on this forum. I have suffered all my life with coarse thick dark body hair.

In fact, i noticed it about the age of 7 . I was teased about it throughout my childhood (ape, gorilla, etc). It was so bad my Mother had to find me a form of hair remover. I did not shave, but had hair removing mits, which you rub and the hair comes off. That helped me a lot!

Anyway, I did this for my legs. If that was not enough, my arms were also bad and by age 10, I was shaving both arms and legs. I was teased for being hairy and then teased if people realised I shaved (by seeing any stubble). So you can't win!

I also had quite noticeable darkish downy hair above my lip. Not quite a full blown moustach, but there all the same. Thick eyes brows also.

Nobody in my family that I know of suffers this . They all have normal hair growth, nothing like mine. I am hairier than my own brother and father! I am like a guy if I let it grow. I'm disgusted, but I cannot help this.

Does anybody know what it is? and why? I was tested by an endocrinologist for hormone balance and he only discovered that I was producing too much steroid hormone (DHEA), and that my estrogen level was at the low end of the scale. But as things were still relatively within range and not totally off the scale, I was left as I was.

He stated the steroid, might be due to "stress". So once again I am left as I am. I also get hair around my nipples, on my toes, the lot. I dont know why I just dont let it all hang out and go live in the jungle. Tweet
