DQ - Abela could profit by selling 'the only DMSO shown in tests to...xyz". Or by becoming known as the DMSO company (in the same way that I no longer use Puritan's Pride vitamins or will only use Nature's Gift DMSO).

Plus, there are other aspects of patents that I don't understand -ie being able to patent a particular process in regards to natural products...for instance:

Issuance of this patent triggers an obligation by QOL Medical LLC to pay Nastech a $2 million milestone under the license agreement granting QOL Medical commercialization rights to Nascobal Nasal Spray. Nastech manufactures Nascobal Nasal Spray for QOL Medical at its manufacturing facility in Hauppauge, New York.
