RSG-2, Colloidal Silver made at room temp is grey instead of gold.

I've been reading that yellow/gold is the color to aim for when making Colloidal Silver . When I make it with my Scada Research RSG-2 at 1mA CONSTANT mode, in distilled water in a clear glass, for anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 1/2hrs, the color is grey.

The one time I heated it the color came out gold. Heating it is an inconvenience, and I'd rather make it at room temp and just wait longer, but I can't seem to get a gold color doing this. Is there anything else I can do to get a resulting gold color without boiling?

Also, is 1mA CONSTANT mode, or 20mA LIMIT mode better for making quality Colloidal Silver ?
