An addition to my post above. I asked Humaworm similar questions after I had my procedures carried out. (I had endoscopy too). Here's what Humaworm had to say:-

You mention the doc didn't get last part of colon. Was a barium meal not carried outvto rule anything else out? (A type of x-ray)?
