Hi slimchick22, it must be especially difficult for you in this situation to persevere without the support of your mom, but please let me give you some encouragement. Even if you could lose a pound a week between now and the end of the year that would be a terrific accomplishment. You don't have to eat a lot to eat healthy.
Would I be wrong if I guessed that your mother is also seriously overweight?
Please try to stay with the program you have started. Just gradually cutting back on the calories a little more each week will get easier as you go along. There is no easy short term quick fix if you want this to be permanent. You should be thinking in terms of a year and a half to 2 years to get to a healthy weight, along with a permanent lifestyle change to eating balanced normal quantities of healthy foods.
