Re: The Mask of Plastic Surgery

Oh Boy. First I must tell you that, in a sense, you are my hero, as I think your posts are marvelous and I love very one of them.

But I can't agree with you on this one. I had a lower face lift at 50, and it is the best $10,000 I ever spent. I had to work overtime for 5 years to save that much money, but I don't miss a penney of it. I am 60 now, and I am still reaping the rewards. In fact, after loosing 35 pounds with The Master Cleanse 4 years ago, I look better now then I did in my 40s.

The thing is, not everyone ages "beautifully". Some of us have sculpted bone structure that lasts a lifetime, and ...well, some of us don't. Some of us little rounded ex-baby facers tend to jowl out as we age, and while that look is great on a basset hound...I didn't have the ears to match.

Having it done did not change my life. I did not go out and take the world by storm. I still have issues. I don't date, by choice, and I still live alone, but I had a tanned tennis player 12 years my junior interested in me, and when I look at my face in the mirror I like what I see. No double chin or sagging jowls - not for this mama. I don't look 25, but I like me.

I would do it again in a heartbeat....
