Re: "Woman dies in ER lobby as 911 refuses to help" - cause of death accidental?

I am disgusted at this entire incident. I heard the entire 911 tape replayed on Good Morning America this morning ,and not only did the 911 folks refuse to help this woman, but the one guy gave the caller a really arrogant attitude as well.

Basically , the callers trying to help this woman--- who was being totally ignored in the hospital emergency room (except for some hospital staff mopping up the blood she was throwing up on the floor) was told by the 911 staff that they could do nothing for her since she was already in a hospital- and they were not responsible for the lack of quality care that she was receiving in that hospital.

What were her loved ones supposed to do -- watch this woman hemorrage to death before their eyes because the waiting line was too long? All they were asking for was if someone could Pleeeeeeease intercede for this woman--- even deliver her to another hospital that may have an opening at least-- for God's sake.

I am totally disgusted at the indifference we humans can stoop to. Indifference is worse than hate, and we will all be held responsible before our Maker for wether or not we are willing enough to go beyond our indifference in situations presented right before us. Situations like these paramedics were presented with-- but did nothing about.
