One reason for the "50 mg" dosage...Re: Japanese avg 13.8 Re: About 6.5 mg

The main reason (for me) to work up to 50 mgs daily for a few months (or start at 50mg daily) is that the researching, clinical doctors (Abraham, Flechas, Brownstein, et al) that most of us are basing our protocols upon (those are the ones in the audios)...determined by urine testing, that once someone had taken 50 mgs of iodine/iodide for 30-90 days (in the form of Lugol's Solution and/or Iodoral tablets), their bodies became "iodine sufficient".

When the patient started taking iodine, the urine tests show that almost all is being "kept" by the body. After 30-90 days (an average, based on thousands of urine tests on their patients), the the body started eliminating almost as much Iodine in the urine, as the people were ingesting.

My theory as to why it take that long? To me, it's like an old classic car that's been running on a very low tank of the cheapest and 'cruddy-est' of fuel. EVERY engine part is all clogged up, full of crud (fluoride, bromide and chlorine). When we start filling up the tank with premium high-grade fuel and cleansing additives (iodine and the supporting supplements), it takes a good long while for all the parts to get cleansed and running smoothly. After we do that, we can keep the 'tank full' and all the parts running smoothly, by just 'topping off the tank' daily with a few milligrams (just like the Japanese). Some us find our 'cars' VERY affected by this new premium fuel (lots of detox symptoms); other 'cars' don't have near as many 'symptoms'...and some just find it takes awhile and have all kinds of different 'spits, sputters & backfires' while the body gets used to having the premium fuel it needs (and puts it all where it needs to be put).
